The price was a true bargain. They are warm, not itchy. They come in one size and I have very small hands so I plan on washing them to shrink them a bit, but if that's the only problem, I am very lucky. I bought several pair. One for my emergency car kit, and two more, because gloves disappear li... Read More

These gloves are made by an outstanding company in Scotland. The list price is very high so be sure to pay as little as possible. There's nothing to them - just simple knit gloves. The best use for them would be as an inner-liner for quality deerskin gloves.

These gloves are great . The lambswool is very soft and feathery . The gloves are somewhat thin, and this makes them perfect for just the simply chillier, brisk days . Probably not suited for the supercold, however . But on the brisk days, anyone will look fabulous wearing these . The first time I wore the grey gloves, I got several compliments .

since I don't like wearing gloves, these are perfect for me not to heavy on my hands, like the lightwt and they keep my hands warm, bought this kind years ago and they are starting to wearout with holes sewed up the holes before the new ones arrived

I got the blue gloves and they really are fine quality and very beautiful, but they are immense. I have fairly large hands for a woman - but they would only really work on a man with large hands.

Not really "one size fits all" as I have fairly large (female) hands and these are too big all around. Would be good as is for a man, but I'm going to try shrinking the ones I got. Good lambswool, but lightweight and a loose knit. I like to keep a pair of light gloves in the pockets of every winter coat, and these will be fine for that use. They're nice quality, but not sturdy enough for any activity.

About Johnstons of Elgin

The inherent luxury of pure Scottish cashmere is borne out in every garment that arrives from the legendary mills of Johnstons of Elgin - a centuries-old family firm doing business in the far North of Scotland since 1797. Using the finest cashmere and superfine wools in the world, Johnstons processes its fibers in a rare "vertical mill" system, where all of the dyeing, spinning, weaving and finishing are carefully controlled on site. Johnstons produces a range of cloth, knitwear and home furnishings at this historic plant - products that are probably best known for their irresistible softness to the touch. The secret, Johnstons believes, is in the finishing, a process still enhanced by the super soft, clear water from nearby River Lossie.
