Our whole family has long been fans of the basic Sorel Pak Boots. (We are also BIG fans of Sierra Trading Post.)

One late Autumn day, when the weather had already dipped well below freezing in Idaho, my husband wanted to order a new pair, but you didn't have any Sorel's available in his size. H... Read More

  • “What is the model number for this boot? Other sites, including themaanufacturer's, show an achilles strap for extra suport. Is the photo an accurate representation of the actual model you sell?”
Asked by sekiRay from ca on 11/19/2013 2:05:03 PM
    • This picture was taken by our in-house photographers. It is the actual item that we have. This model is a 1st quality closeout model, it is not the current year model that you are seeing on the other sites.

  • “Would these boots be too warm where the temperature is say 32 to 40 fahrenheit?”
Asked by TP from Unknown on 7/24/2012 12:00:00 AM
    • Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you. • “I am in no immediate rush to receive your answer so no need for CHATZILLA, but thanks for the opportunity to use it.||My 2+ questions are as follows: |I am ordering the Kamik Conquest Winter Waterproof Pac boots for my husband and I have a few questions: |1. Please tell me a little about the 8mm Zylextra® liner, is it difficult to put in/remove? Does it interfere with the normal fit of the boot? If so, how? (Tell me what you think I need to know)||2.Due to an accident thatleft Scott, my husband, with a crushed foot and uneven arches he wears a foot brace inside one shoe to compensate for this problem. He is not planning to use the brace when he wears these boots, so, can you suggest an arch support that he might place inside the one boot to "act as the brace" kind of a quasi-replacement for the brace? ||In closing, thank you for reviewing this lengthy email. I look forward to your reponse||Phyllis Layman|playman@comcast.net”
Asked by Phyllis from Vincentown, NJ on 1/18/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • It does take a little effort to get the liner in and out, but with use I'm sure it will break in and get easier. The Zylextra is Kamik's proprietary removable liner. A revolutionary three layer design provides Superior Warmth and Moisture Management Protection. 1st layer closest to the foot, wicks perspiration away and provides an antibacterial treatment to fight the growth of odor causing bacterial and fungus. The 2nd layer is made up of a combination of dense felt and new wool layer that traps body heat within the natural air pockets. The 3rd layer is made of thermal foil, a Space Program technology which provides a deflecting barrier against the outside cold while reflecting body heat back to the body.|I prefer Superfeet as a brand of insoles that I have in all of my shoes. As far as a replacement for the brace though I wouldn't be able to say for sure. You can lace the upper to fit as snugly or as loose as you would like.

  • “I recently purchased these boots for my son. He needs boots with a removable liner for an upcoming snow shoe trip. We tried to remove the liner to test the boot but it doesn't seem to come out all the way. It appears to be glued or fastened under the top of the boot where the leather meets the rubber. Has anyone else experienced this? I am hesitant to force the liner to come out so as to not damage the boot.”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 1/13/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • The liner takes some effort to remove, it should not be glued down.
