They're amply insulated with 200g Thinsulate® moisture-resistant insulation, and the fabric, synthetic leather and rubber exterior is fully waterproof.

Fabric above rubber sole is soft felt-like material, very porous. She wore them to school one day, and they had broken by lunch time, after she sat in class and walked between about 3 classes. Poor quality. Would suspect it was an anomaly, except the other reviews mentioned quality as well. Should have listened to the reviews!!! Will be trying to send them back.

I wear a 6 and almost ordered a 6.5 in case they ran small with thicker socks. I'm glad I ordered the 6. They are perfect. I highly recommend.
