Shaft is not waterproof
Reviewed by Cold Feet from Iowa on Sunday, November 30, 2014
I ordered these and the Kodiak Kaylee because I could not decide between the two. These are very nice-looking boots, and they fit me well (I wear a 9.5, but ordered a 10), but with a little extra space in the heel. The only problem with them is that nowhere on the box or tags does it say these boots are waterproof. I am sure the lower part of the boot is, since it is made from rubber, but the shaft is not. I live in Iowa, so we get all kinds of snow, and I'm sure these would be fine for powder, but I don't think they'd perform well in sloppy, wet snow. If you live in a drier climate that gets cold, I think you would like these, but they are on their way back, along with the Kodiaks, and I have ordered the Kamik Encore instead, which is listed as being entirely waterproof.
