Reviewed by Erlesse from Toronto on Wednesday, January 22, 2014It's hard to find a warm winter coat for men that goes below the knee, and still accomodates outdoor activity. This Karbon ski coach coat is an excellent solution. Like a ski jacket, but longer. Lots of practical pockets. Mine has a couple of small flaws with stitching and velcro; but I doubt that will be a general problem with this coat.
Reviewed by Golfing Czar from Chicago on Friday, December 13, 2013Wow! Just got the coat (December 2013) and wore it while attending the Monday night Chicago Bears game with a kickoff temp of 5 degrees with strong winds. I never thought a coat could provide such warmth, and not being a youngster (57), I get cold a lot easier that I used to.
Calling it a ski coat is a bit of a misnomer; as you probably wouldn't ski in it, and it's material makes it a little dressier than a typical ski coat/parka. Presumably I could wear a sport coat underneath if necessary.
Multiple zipper pockets on the sleeves and chest allow for phones, tickets, keys, et.al. to be easily accessed, even with gloves or mittens.
Hood is easily detached for less extreme conditions, and the front zipper can unzip from the bottom, allowing for some expansion, which allows for more comfortable sitting with a long jacket.
The length of the coat is good, even for taller people (I'm 6'3"). Couldn't imagine a better coat for cold winter weather.
Reviewed by Tony from Toronto on Wednesday, July 24, 2013Coat looks to be well made. Only fault is that sleeves seem short (works for me, but the large is only about 32" sleeve equivalent, and hip pockets are really low. Can't comment on warmth since haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Citation16 from Montreal, Quebec, Canada on Monday, December 31, 2012Purchased the coat after seeing a neighbour wear a similar coat.
Its lenght is great for wind protection and it has well designed features.
Its a thin coat so you will need a good layer unederneath. But the sleeves are very tight, limiting movement and leaves little room for a polar sweater with sleeves.
The tight sleeves thus allow only a relatively thin sleve sweater to be worn; this I consider a major drawback in otherwise a very fine and excellent coat. I hope the next Carbon model corrects the tight sleeve issue
