Reviewed by G from Valparaiso, IN on Saturday, February 23, 2013I want to love this jacket. On it's fist outings it preformed well. Waterproof was great. Skied 4 hours in the rain and didn't get wet. Skied in cold windy weather and stayed warm. It has a nice amount of pockets, not the best layout, but better than most. My favorite is the drop down ski pass pocket found underneath the powder skirt. The powder skirt has only one size and I find the fit too loose for the jacket size. It constantly rides up above my pants and lets a draft in. After the first washing with Nikwax wash designed for outerwear, the jacket is no longer waterproof. Very disappointed. I washed my Obermeyer pants at the same time, they still bead water. The material is soft and doesn't get hard in extremely cold temps or make noise. After skiing in this jacket 13 days in various conditions it has preformed well, other then the powder skirt riding up. If I hadn't washed this jacket I would have recommended for the great price you can find on STP. But knowing after one wash it has turned to a sponge, I no longer. I haven't tried retreating it with waterproofer, but I hope that will help.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dr. C from Somerset, PA on Monday, January 28, 2013This is a nice jacket for skiing. The pit zips are a definite plus for keeping cool skiing on warmer days. The inner sleeves and powder skirt are awesome for holding in warmth and keeping out snow.
Reviewed by Trinity River Dog from Trinity River, CA on Friday, December 28, 2012Was hoping for a cozy, waterproof ski jacket. Would have gotten exactly that but the collar is a joke. Maybe it is 6 inches too loose. Could be 8. Going back ASAP.
