This is great for rainy cold days. Obviously, not for summer rain, nor for bitter (below zero) cold. I like the long length to keep my legs dry.

This is a terrific coat for ski race parents or others who stand on-hill or in the cold for long periods. Both my wife and I have one of these and have found them to be super warm. That being said, I view this jacket as a piece of technical ski gear -- would not think it would be great as a commuter coat.

The hood is great for over helmet use - smaller and would not work for that purpose.

Am concerned about zipper -- first coat had to be returned because zipper teeth pulled out on first use. Replacement seems much better. My wife has not had any problems.
    • Best Uses: On-Snow Coat, Ski Race Parent
    • Cons: Zipper is not sturdy
    • Pros: Great On-Hill Features, Warm, Waterproof

If you are a player, coach or parent and spend time on the hill, field hockey pitch or soccer fields this coat is a must. I highly recommend - only downfall to the design is the front zipper is not full length. Additional snaps or Velcro would improve the design.
    • Best Uses: Coaching, Gate Keeping, Standing in the rain
    • Cons: Front zipper is not full, Length, Needs front snaps, Or velcro
    • Pros: Great Fit, Waterproof, Windproof

A disappointment. Was not warm and I will be returning it.
    • Cons: Not enough insulation
    • Pros: Different style, Good Fit, Has attached hood, Long, Really cool features, Waterproof

I use the bus going to school and wanted something warm with a good length while just sitting and waiting very early in the cold morning. This jacket definitely keeps the rain and snow off, but you still need to layer a sweater or another jacket in order to stay warm enough. It has lots of pockets though and the hood is very generous for helmets. Arms a tad too short if you have long arms and the hand gators are really loose for some reason. Sizes run a little large.
    • Best Uses: Milder winter days, Stationary events, Windy days
    • Cons: Arm gators too loose, Clumsy hood, Hood too large, Jacket warms too short
    • Pros: Good coverage, Large hood, Long
