5.0 out of 5 stars. Solid shoes. Need to size up to fit right.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Hawkeye from Maryland on Sunday, February 3, 2019Comfortable, warm, built solid, nice looking, my go to fall-winter shoe for out of doors. Needed a 44 to fit my 9.5 foot. The 43 was definitely too snug.

4.0 out of 5 stars. NICEVerified Buyer Reviewed by Batt M from NY on Monday, January 21, 2019This is a very sturdy shoe at a great price. Similar in stiffness to the Asolo boot line, it was a pleasant surprise to slip into a shoe that will require break-in time. The soles are dense rubber that should take a while to wear down and the lugs on them are spaced far enough apart that they do not pick up driveway gravel. One more eyelet would have been nice because the ankle opening is a bit large allowing a fair amount of heel rise. I'm hoping this will diminish as the shoes break in. There is a Gore-Tex booty and a fully gusseted tongue which is great, but there is a stitched seam along tongue/booty connection that falls along the bottom of the tongue crease on both sides of the shoe running right below the laces. This is exactly where water will gravitate to, I sure hope that seam is well taped.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good albeit tricky sizingReviewed by SMC1817 from New York on Friday, October 5, 2018As others have experienced, getting the right size is tricky. Normally wear 9 in most dress shoes and 9.5 in athletic shoes. Euro 42 is listed as 9.5 on the site and shoe box conversion but my feet do not agree. Had to go up to a 43 for a better fit (especially if wearing thicker socks). Also runs a tad narrow but the sturdy leather should acclimate with wear. Otherwise a well crafted product with nice features at a nice price.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great but size matters!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bigsky from Montana on Wednesday, September 19, 2018These are very well built and an awesome deal at the closeout price. The thing that is important is getting the right size. I wear a size 10 which corresponds to a euro size 44. The description here says a size 44 is a US 11.5. After talking to customer service I bought a 43 and 44 to make sure I got the right size. When they arrived I took out my size 10 insoles and they were the exact same size as the 44 insoles. However the sizing chart on the box did indeed say a 44 would be a US 11.5! That would be correct for women’s sizing but not men’s so I think this is where the confusion lies. The boots do run a tad bit narrow but should stretch a little as they are leather. So if you have a wide foot I’d advise against. Thanks to customer service for advising I try both and paying for the return shipping??

5.0 out of 5 stars. ExcellentReviewed by Dfidman from California on Wednesday, August 22, 2018I sized by their recommendation. I wear between an 8 and 81/2. I ordered the 41 and it is exactly right. They say size 8 and these are not running small. They are a good 8.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good fitReviewed by Yooper Jim from da U.P. of MI, eh on Tuesday, June 12, 2018I've had excellent luck with Italian shoes whether made in Italy or Romania. I learned years ago that Italian shoes run a bit narrow. My feet must be Italian cuz I get a great fit with these Kaylands and 3 other pair of Scarpas and every pair of cycling shoes I've owned for the last 4 plus decades, all made in Italy. The size conversion was baffling. I went with the recommendation and ordered 44 for my size 11 1/2 feet. Perfect, even though 45 & 45.5 is usually 11 1/2. If your feet do not run narrow you may need the next size up. I like that these are ''hiker'' on the bottom and look ''dress casual'' from above. Leather upper will break in nicely wherever there is a tight spot. I consider Italian medium or D to be more like a C width. One more consideration: I'm only writing about European made Italian shoes. The one Chinese made Scarpa pair went directly into my son's closet. He likes them. Lesson learned. Don't know what the kid would do if pops didn't have Italian tootsies. He's saved some shoe money being my son. I think I'll remind him tomorrow what with Father's Day fast approaching, eh.
