Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Mild Bill from Elevation 9900 on Wednesday, April 8, 2015Hiked over 70 miles on the Mt. Blanc Trail in my Alamosa's last summer. I can't say enough about how comfortable and light they are. I am 55 yrs. old, 6'0 ,190# and these hiking shoes were a dream to walk in. Stable, rugged, super comfy, cool and dry. I am about to order another pair as I see they are now discontinued.
Reviewed by HikerBiker from Kalamazoo, MI on Monday, June 10, 2013I'd give these 4 1/2 stars. These boots are very comfortable and provide excellent support and cushioning. Arch support is very good. The lacing is very nice, too; the top set of hooks "lock" the laces in place when they are pulled into the hooks. This feature allows one to have different lace tension between the top of the foot and the ankle. For me, it allows me to have the laces tight on top of the foot (to prevent my foot from sliding forward and jamming my toes), but keep the lace tension around my ankle slightly looser for comfort when walking. There are several Youtube tutorials on lacing approaches for hiking boots that I have found very helpful.
The only thing I was disappointed with these boots is breathability. I purposefully wanted a non-waterproof shoe for more breathability and these seem warmer than both my goretex boots and trail running shoes. Nonetheless, the boots are very well-made and the value is great.

Reviewed by Ridgerunner from Indiana on Friday, April 26, 2013This boot was good on the trail right out of the box. Narrower hiking boot footbed threw me at first as Keens are generally known for wider shoe lovers but I soon got used to it. This boot is ideal for day hiking or weekend trips.
