Wonderfully waterproof

Comfortable, true to size and with room to fit thick socks. Perfectly waterproof and can trudge through several inches of snow without your legs getting wet. Have tested them in snowy city and rural snowstorms and my feet are warm and dry. Didn't even need to really break them in.

  • Love them

Took these babies out for a hike straight out of the box! They were very comfortable on shale/rock & were great on the wet & muddy trails. Very happy. I have high arches & have broken a few metatarsals, so I wanted something supportive, but still lightweight & comfy. These nailed it. Cute too!
  • Excellent

These boots are very comfortable. They aren't too tight on my feet which has been a problem with shoes for me lately. I normally wear a 9/9.5. I bought a size 10.5 and probably could have gone with a 10 but I actually like the extra room in case I want to wear thick socks or my feet swell during a long hike.
  • Super comfortable boot

I walked in the snow with these and they are completely waterproof.

I wanted some work boots for wet times that would be comfortable all day. Not sure of the traction but even my bunions like these.

  • “Does the sole provide some cushion? I’m expecting to be hiking at least 10 miles a day on an upcoming trip to Scotland. ”
Asked by Mary from Maine on 2/21/2018 6:48:40 AM
    • Yes it has some cushion, the arch isn't as strong as in my Danner boots but I have stood in them for long periods of time. Not sure about 10 miles, I haven't hiked in them as I'm using them as work boots.
Answered on 2/21/2018 7:35:03 AM by bikecommuterplus from Geneva, NY
    • Yes, the sole does have some cushion.

    • Glad you’re hiking in Scotland! We did the Fife Coast last spring and loved it. These boots are ideal for long days of hiking...well-cushioned and lightweight.
      They look snappy too!

  • “I am a professional gardener who likes to work in hiking boots but they must be waterproof. Are these boots truly waterproof ? I am tired of boots saying they are waterproof and not holding up. If they are how do I keep them waterproof? I do get into wet grass and other wet situations.”
Asked by gardenerann from southeast Pennsylvania on 2/14/2018 10:46:48 AM
    • They are waterproof in rains and downpours, walking on hard surfaces and muddy grass lawns. I tend to avoid puddles so I don't know how many inches up they are waterproof, but perhaps to the top of the toes. My feet have definitely not gotten wet in them. They have a rubbery exterior, not mesh.

    • I bought these for field work as well and so far in the snow they have been great, haven't worn them in mud and water yet it is still winter here

    • These boots are absolutely waterproof, but they are beautifully lightweight which is why I bought them. I don’t what kind of heavy lifting you do, but it might be better to get a waterproof boot that is also steel-toed. For my use they are perfect.
Answered on 2/14/2018 4:26:52 PM by 2manyhobbies from Wisconsin
    • Yes, these are 100% waterproof.

  • “What is the height of the upper ankle support?”
Asked by Tam from Oregon on 2/8/2018 9:36:37 AM
    • According to information listed under the product Specs- Height: 3-1/2"
Answered on 2/8/2018 2:22:46 PM by Product Specialist Greg from Sierra Trading Post
    • They are lower in the back, only about an inch above the ankle bone and are about an inch and a half in the front but it is pretty well padded and I find the support ok. Not quite a mid-height boot

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
