2.0 out of 5 stars. waterproof but uncomfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Saturday, July 8, 2017Just came back from a week in Alaska -- nearly daily moderate hikes of 5-7 miles, and these boots are just not working, despite having my orthotics in and wearing my favorite REI socks. My heel slips, and the shoe is far too stiff, even after a week of daily use. They feel like awkward boxes of concrete. The length is correct, but the fit is all wrong somehow. At times I was forced to place my foot awkwardly in ways that could easily have twisted my ankle.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Chunky durableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Pamela from Minnesota on Friday, June 9, 2017Not what I was looking for. Definately good for fall, winter activities. I wear 8.5, they fit well with a wide toe box. It only let me give 3 stars, I would have given 4.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Love KeensVerified Buyer Reviewed by Commuter Gal from Washington on Saturday, April 29, 2017As usual, Keen has designed a light hiking shoe that is sturdy and comfortable. My only complaint, they are a little higher on the ankle and I got a hot spot the first time I wore them. I order a half size up in Keens, they seem to run a bit small.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Breaking in requiredVerified Buyer Reviewed by Life in the Northwoods from Wisconsin on Friday, April 21, 2017The sizing for me was exactly right. I normally wear an 8.5 in a hiking shoe, and that is what I ordered. The fit is good and I like a wider toe area. As other reviews said, they are very stiff. Although stiff, they are very comfortable and surprisingly light. My biggest complaint is that because they are so stiff, they are difficult to form around your feet. Consequently, first hike out, the heel slipped a little and that was not comfortable after a few miles. Second time out it was much better. I suspect they will only improve. They are waterproof, as I did wade through water. I debated between a 3 or 4 star. They are more of a 3 right now, but I think they will end up closer to a 4.

3.0 out of 5 stars. WideReviewed by khiker from oregon on Friday, April 7, 2017I wanted to love these but they are just too wide and my foot is going to slip around a lot, don't even want to try a serious hike. I love how sturdy they are just wish they fit better.
