I live at 9,000 feet in Colorado and these boots are great. They arrived just in time for our first snow. I didn't even have to break them in. I did order a half size up which is perfect. LOVE these boots!
Reviewed by CosmicBubbleLove from Michigan on Friday, January 9, 2015I bought these boots four winters ago, and I still wear them on a daily basis. They are still waterproof and very warm! They have a very roomy toe area which I love. I go for a lot of winter hikes in these boots and my feet are always warm, dry, and pain free :)
Reviewed by Carolina from Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 25, 2014Have been wearing these boots in deep snow several days now and they more than passed the test! Highly recommend them!
Reviewed by Trees mom from Upstate NY on Tuesday, December 24, 2013I do allot of snow shoeing so I was looking to replace an old bulky heavy pair of boots. I am familiar with Keen shoes who are known for comfort and must say I am very pleased with these boots! They are so light and comfy. The waterproof and nice style is added bonus. I wore these once already and received numerous compliments! Can't wait to get out there and put them to the real test. That is why I only rated them as a four star.
Reviewed by busy mom from Ontario on Monday, October 28, 2013They look awesome and feel like a running shoe but warm like a boot. A bit small and I wish they were a bit higher but I think they'll be a great winter boot.
Reviewed by Morgan from Vermont on Tuesday, September 24, 2013These shoes are warm, comfortable and pretty snazzy. I adore them, Im shocked they are real leather and very impressed by the quality, needless to say I am officially ready for winter!

“Hi! I am interested in these boots, but I do not know if they will fit me. I constantly have trouble sizing shoes at the store because, for some reason, my size varies with the shoe. Could you please tell me inside foot length of your smallest size available (I believe it's a Women's US 5)? In other words, the distance from the inside boot tip to the inside heel?
Thank you very much!”
For a size 5 the insole measures 9 1/8".
“This boot is only 200g insulation. I don't see how it can keep warm in snow. Would this boot keep my feet warm in 1 foot of snow, 10 degrees winter?”
There are number of factors that affect how warm a boot may keep you. Depending on your activity and what kind of socks and how you layer your sock. “IS keens thinsulite different than different companies? I know that 200g isn't rated to very low temperatures, and normally for a winter boot I would get one for a higher rating. But I see here that you are saying it can handle very cold weather.”
These would be great snowshoeing boots! Enjoy!
Yes, these would be great insulated waterproof calf high boots for snow-shoeing. The sole is molded, rugged and strong. I may also depend on how sturdy and solid your snow shoes are??? I have snow-shoed in Alaska and Vermont and these are on par with Sorels.
