These are my go to shoes for everything! I walk every morning, before work ,then run errands, then go to work. I wear these all day long , standing, with no problems. Some people have commented they are "chunky" looking . I happen to like the look, and I need a square or roomy toe box. I can't wear th... Read More

I was so excited for these as my last pair was so comfortable. These actually hurt my feet. I hope to break them in but feel that's wishful thinking. The toes box is too narrow and the heel could be snug. I was at Lowes for about 20 minutes and my feet hurt. The tongue edges dig into my foot as does the part of the shoe above my pinky toe. My old pair are a hot mess but comfortable. I feel next time I will have to pay the extra forty dollars and go jnto the store to buy:(

Since these are closeouts you'll probably never see them again, but as usual, Keen are the best in the land!
These shoes run true to size, a bit narrow, and have a lower profile than many Keens. They are lightweight
and really waterproof. I find all hiking shoes make your feet hot, and these do too, but at least they do not make
them hurt. They are low enough so they don't rub the ankles, which also gives them a little less stability.
I think they are great for exactly what they are made for--wet trails.

I got 7.5, and they were short for me - generally 7.5 works but not this time. They were fine in the width, just a bit short and seemed like they would be comfortable. I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to buying waterproof shoes, and as I suspected, even the short amount of time I had them on in the air conditioned house they were very hot. I am a big fan of KEEN - and they usually fit very well, but I do notice that the varying styles all fit a bit differently, so 7.5 works sometimes and 8 works others. In this case, I needed an 8, but since they were so hot, I just returned them.

    • Keen boots typically have a wide toe box without much curvature when viewed from the bottom of the soles. Because of the growing demand for trail runners and athletic shoes, my guess is that Keen is producing shoes more typical for that purpose, so it requires extra inspection to make sure a Keen shoe has a wide toe box.

    • For emphasis, NO, this shoe does NOT have a typical Keen wide toe box!!

    • Not exactly small, toe box is narrow though. I ordered 7.5 for a normal 7, works well if I don't wear super thin socks (a little longer if sizing up).

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
