These get a star for construction and one for style but those things don't make up for the way they feel. The left boot has a painful ridge where the tongue and front edge of the boot overlap. It causes pressure on a nerve that shoots into mu upper foot with each downhill step, less so uphill. Toes are okay uphill but slam into the front of the boot going down. Can't tie the boots tight enough to solve this. I'm working on finding an insole that might help. Just walking around my house, these felt okay but on the trail--misery. Not sure if there's a solution or if this will end up being an expensive mistake.
