I live in the city and bought these boots to handle the winter weather. Immediately upon opening the package, I could tell the boots were made to be heavy duty and of fantastic quality. I've been using them for about two months now, and they are extremely warm, dry, and durable. Extended periods of ... Read More

I wear a 5 in most things, so I (naturally) ordered a 5 in these boots. I understand that designers don't often change the actual construction of the boot when sizing down, just the sole, but I mean c'mon, will anyone ever throw us Small Feeters a bone?? These hit me hard on my big toe, but I slip out of them with every step. When my foot slips, my sock slips. They're also very heavy.

I walk 3 miles roundtrip in Syracuse NY snow to class everyday. I'm willing to give them a shot for the warmth promised by other reviewers, but I'll have to wear thick, tight-ankled socks and put extra effort into not shuffling along.

I don't know what it is about these boots but Keen has made a really well made product. The waterproofing is excellent as my wife will attest to and the nubuck waterproof leather uppers easy to keep clean, try the Nik-Wax products also here at Sierra. The materials and construction are first rate, the sizing seems true as a size 6 fits my wife perfectly. Sure, shearling would have been nice but my wife swears by the warm comfort of the man made material lining. These boots do not have a natural shearling lining. It's synthetic but it works. I don't know why Sierra describes them as naturally lined. However, that aside, you will love these. At least your wife or any other women you surprise with these.

I'm usually a size 6 in heels and 7 in sneakers so i went with a 6.5 and they fit perfect. They were warm and comfortable. Went to New York with friends beg of Feb and while everyone else complained of tired cold feet I was nice and warm. Definitely a good buy.

These boots fit great and are very comfortable, like my Keen sandals. The leather is very nice and they're attractive and functional. Very glad I bought them!

Love these boots and wear them all the time, even if it's just barely nippy...which brings me to my one qualm: They don't breathe extremely well. But tha's it.

    • Good question! It’s pretty difficult to accurately gauge the temperature a garment like this will perform in, due to the various factors that affect warmth (insulation, layering, breathability, etc.). Take a peek at some of our buying guides for layering and warmth; they’ll point you in the right direction!||

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
