Disappointed after one season

I used these sandals while kayaking. Pretty comfortable and prevented my feet from falling asleep while pressing against kayak foot pegs.

Not great for walking any distance because my feet slid around in them a bit as a result of the soles of my feet sweating against the plastic, combined with the fact that they are a bit wide. Also you have to take them off every now and then to empty out the sand and pebbles that collect in them.

Great for protecting feet from rocks and debris when doing a beach or river launch. They also dry pretty fast.

However, after one season of frequent use, the bottom layer of the soles, in both sandals, began to split--kind of like a piece of bread being peeled off a sandwich--to the point where they are only attached under the ball of the foot and the sole is flopping around. I supposed I could try gluing them with a marine-type glue--which is what I would have thought Keen would have done when they made them. Despite being marketed as a water shoe, obviously there was something not quite waterproof used in the manufacturing of the sole.
  • Best Uses: Beach, Outdoors
  • Cons: Not breathable, Sole split apart
  • Describe Yourself: Casual, Sporty
  • Pros: Comfortable, Cute
