I cannot say enough good things about the Voyageur (and I own several pairs of Keens)! I wore them on a three-week trip to Alaska which involved much walking and trail hiking (uphill, downhill, rocky terrain, loose rocks) and they were comfortable from the get-go. The shoes are so light but impres... Read More

These are my second pair of the same boot. They have been the most comfortable boot for hiking bit are probably heavier than the new versions but very sturdy on rocky trails. My feet are small and the size 5 fits perfectly. My first pair lasted 6 years and we do a lot of hiking in the Colorado mountains.

I did replace the footbed with a "cushier" footbed

The best for me is the small size and wide enough width! I never am able to get a wide enough and small enough shoe

I was looking for a low rise hiking shoe for my trip to Yosemite specifically for my half dome hike. I have high boot keens and wanted a low rise trail hiker. I loved the style when i purchased on line and esp. the price. I didn't have time to break them in before our 10 hour + hike but didn't worry about it too much as I never needed to break in my other Keen shoes. I was right. The shoes were comfortable right when i put them on. I had to tighten up the laces a bit. Keens are normally wide and i have a narrow foot. I ordered a size 5 in THIS shoe (my other keens i had to go up 1/2 size). They were perfect! after 5 hours my feet were just fine, no blisters no aches. However, after 8-9 hours my arches were aching (naturally expected after 8-9 hours). All in all i'm glad i purchased these shoes and absolutely loved the price! it was the lowest i've seen from all other websites.

  • “Are these shoes waterproof?”
Asked by Suzanna from Seaside, OR on 8/20/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • These shoes are not waterproof. The Keen brand indicates up front which of their shoes are waterproof. The Sierra Trading Post has 28 different Keen shoes for women which are waterproof.

About Keen

Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.
