Most Helpful 3-Star Review
All that I was looking for butReviewed by nayborboy from Maryland on Monday, June 4, 2018I bought this on the quick cause of a memorial day event we were attending. It was the first cabana type shelter that I saw made by a reputable company (Kelty). Also I thought the larger dimensions than most of the beach cabanas would be better. I wanted to set it up to make sure everything was included. It has nylon bags that I assume can be filled with sand for use as weight at the beach. It was also relatively easy assemble definitely easier with 2 people. Upon inserting the long shock corded pole in the sleeve section I felt it get easy and realized the pole separated at the first joint and tore thru the nylon pole sleeve. The couplings on these poles are really pronounced compared to tents that I've owned and been around in the past. Unfortunately, I was in no position to return it due to time constraints I was still able to set it up and found a nylon repair kit to do some repairs. I don't think the damage will be of any consequence as long as I am always aware of the tear and avoid making it worse. Not sure if my experience is an anomaly but like I said the pole connections are sort of abrupt and square rather than rounded to allow them to slide. I don't think its a case of poor quality materials and I'm sure I will get my monies worth of use out of it.
