Soooo comfortable... if you can get it over your head.

I've always appreciated the warmth of the Kenyon Polarskins, having owned them for years, but the fit of every pair I buy leaves me puzzled. A couple of years ago, a Polarskins base layer felt like there was extra fabric in the chest, bunching up beneath top layers. Another time, the sleeves were unrelenting, and couldn't be rolled up/slid up my arm. This year, it's the neck. I ordered 6 tops, and all 6 felt like I had put them on backwards. I even came back to the Sierra website to see if these were blemished seconds, or if there was any kind of notation about the awkward fit of this garment. (If I were to write up the section on the fit, my honest reporting would say, "some dude learned to sew today - look what he made!")
Over time, with some earnest stretching of the neck and appropriate cursing, the shirt will comply. Hence the 3 stars. This shirt, if you make it bend to your will, can truly make the coldest of mornings quite tolerable. It breathes well, and moves moisture away from the skin as it claims. The perpetually weird fit becomes only a mild annoyance. Which is why, in the near future when I need more Polarskins, I'll order them, knowing that -- in my mind -- the winter-fighting comfort will win out over whatever goofy tailoring Kenyon has in store for me.
