Love these heavyweight pants

I've had these baselayer pants about five months now, and I'm still really happy with them.

Sizing: size down. I'm 5'8", 150lbs, 29 waist and 40 hips, normally size 8 or 10 in pants, and the small fits really well. My mom also tried on a small, but she's smaller than I am, and they didn't work for her, so I ended up with two pairs. Be forewarned that they are tall in the waist. They come to my natural waist, which is fine by me, as I hate having a chill come up me through an exposed lower back.

When to wear: camping, cycling, jogging/walking, outdoor sports, outdoors in general, sleeping/lounging in a cool house. I've worn them for all of the above scenarios, and they're great. For jogging, they've so far been just right in mid-40 F weather. They did not allow a cold wind through to my legs, so I was very comfortable. While camping with low temperatures in the 30s, they were perfect inside my old, tattered sleeping bag which does not insulate very well.

What to wear with: Since they are a heavy fleece, they don't fit under my jeans as my jeans are rather fitted, but under loose pants they're perfect. They're not skin tight, but they are slim fitting; if you're super cold, you can layer another base layer pant (mid- or light-weight) underneath. I do this sometimes in the house when it's very chilly.

Durability: several washes and months in, they are holding up well. Time will tell whether they continue to do so, but so far, so good. I'll get another pair or two just in case I can't find them again in the future.

I think that unless you're very petite or can't stand a high-waisted pant, you'll be very pleased with these.
