  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great investment!

This is protecting my older, yet 10x more expensive backpacking tent from UV and side-blown rain when I take it car-camping. Full sun/UV block, in a neutral grey color will get warm without overheating. Great tie-points and guy lines! Metal grommets securely fastened in sturdy and flexible webbing, no destruction of your tie lines or the tarp in windy conditions. Constructed and sewn in a way that allows a good tight fit when arranged as a plane, or with angles and contours to keep the sun, rain, and windblown dust off.

A note on the aforementioned stickiness: open the tarp the first time somewhere clean, and let it air out a day or so. No stickiness for me, after that.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. No Sag

I bought this chair because I had tried my cousins and loved it. Finding that it was no longer comfortable to sit in a typical bag chair for any length of time due to the sag. Just no support! This seems very good so far have only tested for a few minutes at a time. And will update if anything changes. Sierra had a great price compared to other retailers. I didn't however give it 5 because it was extremely difficult to "lock" it in place when open. Also the bag on the side of the chair for cell phone or other accessories seems recessed to far under to be overly useful. Also Im not convinced that the fabric is stitched together properly, not quite lining up with the appropriate holes for the legs and such. for what I paid I am happy, however certainly glad I paid Sierra's price w coupon and not full retail.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. GREAT Shelter Tarp 4 the $$!

Was bummed I didn't get one to check out 1st time they sold out. Glad I stuck with it & got one 2nd time around. Best tarp for the $$ out there especially with the Deal Saver @ STP. Double stitched & double reinforced @ all anchor points. Plenty of guy off points (9 total) & includes guylines & stuffsack. I like the rollup corner feature & guypoint on top in the center. Heavier fabric than others I've seen. This tarp/ shelter will survive New Mexico winds no problem! Maybe a little heavy for all the "ounce counters" but built to take it & last. Don't know why it got a bad review unless the user didn't know how to rig up a spike camp shelter! No sticky coatings on mine. A-1!
