Great for the price!

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this dog bed when it arrived. The cover is a thick, ribbed canvas material, with a sturdy zipper. It is beige on one side, olive green on the other. The cover is equivalent quality to the dog beds all the famous sporting catalogs, but the insert is not. The covering of the insert is like the cheap allergy covers for pillows - a non-woven synthetic that is very thin. The fiber filling is quite fluffy now, but it is just floating around in clumps inside - no baffles to keep it evenly distributed. A good shaking every couple of days rectifies this. I'm sure the filling will compress over time, but we will have gotten our money's worth by then, I'm sure.

Definitely a good bed for the money, and our 22-week-old 65 lb. Bernese Mountain Dog loves it! The 50" size will be perfect for him as he reaches maturity (120 lbs.)
  • Best Uses: Indoors, Large Pets
  • Cons: Clumpy Filling
