Dog slowly adapting to using the thing. Formerly she had flat beds that she likes to paw around and make a mess of, before plopping down, but they do not provide much support or insulation for her ageing bones.

As for me, I had a hard time figuring out the innards...not being the sharpest tack in the box...The innards are compressed inside a plastic bag. I didn't realize the plastic bag was a disposable wrapper; thought it was eventually, when the innards didn't expand, I cut off the plastic wrapper and voila! Now I had a burgeoned mushroom I had to stuff in the shell, not so easy...Had I placed the guts inside the shell before releasing the plastic wrapper, I'd have felt like a genius, and the dog's owner would have smiled upon me admiringly, instead of laughing herself nearly sick watching me leap on the unwrapped innards inside the shell trying to provoke expansion.
