The website describes the backpack well. If you are unsure what 18L looks like, it is slightly smaller than a traditional backpack you would use for school, books, computer and the like, and not as wide. This backpack is more for soft items as it will not easily support or protect electronics. It is a good day back for light items (I think the max weight capacity is 25 lbs, good for some clothing, food, or blanket). The air frame works well but may be a bit overkill for such a light bag. I would not recommend taking out the air pillow as it is difficult to get back in. It is water bladder compatible, but the bladder hooks on the inside, it does not slide in a sleeve. It is worth the price and is nice quality with fun features, but keep in mind it is more of a light duty pack, a pack that will not take a lot of abuse.

Question & Answer

  • “What is the unpacked (Empty) weight of the pack?”
Asked by Bob from WhiteMnts on 9/20/2017 8:05:15 AM
    • I would say between 8 & 12 oz. If you are super concerned about weight the air bladder can be removed to remove a few more oz's, it is a bit overkill for a bag with such a low weight capacity.

  • “Morning, What is the allowable back size back pack, allowed for a "carry on" for air travel?
    Best, Jack”
Asked by Thumb Buster from California on 5/12/2017 8:00:56 AM
    • Most airlines allowable carry on dimensions are 22”x14”x9” for a total of 45” linear (all together) and weighs 40 lbs. However you may want to check with your air carrier since these may vary some from carrier to carrier.
