Can't wait to use it

I am new to backpacking and have been purchasing items that are light and not too expensive (I am buying gear for 3 people).
I have looked everywhere online and in stores at different sleeping pads. We will be hiking in Arizona in June so I was not worried about buying a pad with foam in it for insulation.
I received my 4 pads this week and quickly blew them up. The mouthpiece is nice because it twists and doesn't need squeezed at all. It took more breaths than the manufacturer said to inflate it but it wasn't bad. I put it on a concrete floor and didn't feel the floor at all- neither did my son or husband. I am a side sleeper so that was surprising to me. I also didn't feel like I was going to slide off the side of the pad- it doesn't seem to curve down- but it is a backpacking pad for sure (it is narrow). It was very comfortable with a pillow. I moved and turned and didn't hear any air movement in the pad (I was surprised). It deflated and folded up quickly and easily into the carry bag.
My son did say it was tiny (15 and used to a full size air mattress in a tent- this is his first backpacking trip) but he admitted it felt better than he expected and he couldn't feel the ground either.
If you are taller than 5'10" I would recommend the larger pad (I am short so no problem for me)
