I originally bought the Kodiak Kyra boots and at first try I thought they were super warm and comfy but when I went to wear them for the first time I found them to be way too big around my ankle and calf, I didn't like this because I am not used to wearing regular snow boots as I am from VA Beach, VA and this is my second winter in WY that I am actually prepared for.
So I exchanged them for the Kodiak Skyla boots and wore them when I went to Denver, CO on 11/20, where a nice snow storm ended up occurring. My feet stayed perfectly warm and comfy.
I usually wear a size 7.5/8, depending on the shoe, but the 8's were way to big for me to where my ankle was constantly moving up and down in the boot and to me I didn't feel very safe with boots that my feet wouldn't sit still in. I have worn these boots since they day I got them, 2 days ago including today and I love them. They're definitely worth the money.
Side note, the leather is a dark tan, but after wearing them they will lighten and create lines, as they are leather and will do that. I personally love the wear but some people think things last forever.
