Yes, they are quite easy to remove and put back on. Just simply twist the basket until the slots on the basket line up with the little cogs on the pole and pull it off. To put a basket back on, just line up the basket slot with the pole cog, push on and then twist to the lock position.

That is a matter of opinion :) I believe they are supposed to be fairly easy to remove but it took a bit of tugging and twisting to get mine off and on. Now in all fairness I bought two different sets of Komperdell poles: the green anti shock ones were actually pretty darned easy to get off and on- only took me about 3-5 min per pole to get them all seated and in place. The other pair was the less expensive kind of entry level set- they were harder. It took me some doing. But no additional tools were required and it was doable. Just harder and took a little longer. I've field tested both sets of poles pretty extensively and they both perform great. They are light, sturdy and extend and collapse very easily and securely. I would never hike without them - they are in the trunk of the car right now, awaiting a trip tomorrow. More info than you asked for. Also know that you can get the baskets from LL Bean. I think Komperdell manufactures their poles as well.

Yes, one twist and they are off. For the price these are a good buy. Well constructed. I just used these on a winter Climb of Mt. Washington and they were fine. I would recommend buying them.
