Instructions inadequateVerified Buyer Reviewed by fossillover from South Bend IN on Tuesday, May 15, 2018It took a lot of fooling around to figure out how to assemble and disassemble the poles. Bought them for a future trip, so at this point I can't say how they perform on the trail.
Just as described.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Susan from Iowa on Sunday, April 22, 2018What I expected.
Very Light and CompactVerified Buyer Reviewed by PQHiker from San Diego on Sunday, March 11, 2018This is my second Komperdell stick. Bought this one to fit in a check in luggage. Looking forward to use these sticks in our next hiking trip in Europe. My husband has to show me how to fold and release the poles correctly and after second tries, got it with no problem. Very light and of good quality!
Great!Reviewed by Dos perros from Tennessee on Wednesday, August 2, 2017These are great sticks. I've done about 40 miles in 2 hikes and I have no complaints. They replaced my very, very old Komperdell Titanals with the old screw-tight mechanism (which have been great but are failing). I like that the bottom two sections are shock lock, so they are easy to take down. And the upper one adjusts using a clip, which seems really solid. The range is only 105-125 cm, but that is all I need. I noticed the shock cord sections do have a little vibration in them, compared to the old ones, but after a couple hikes I don't notice it anymore.

“hi from the description i was wondering if this poles shaft is both carbon and aluminum? it looks like maybe the dark part is carbon and the lower silver section aluminum. Also is the carbide tip easy replace when worn out or is it one of the ones that needs to be pried off then glued back on? ”
We do not have specific information on the breakdown of material for this item, it is just listed as carbon and aluminum. Unfortunately it does not list information about tip replacement either.
You are correct. The dark part is carbon and the lower part is silver aluminum. In regards to the carbide tip I cannot help you. I gifted this hiking pole and I have no way to check it for you.
“These were just delivered today. They seem like good quality (I wore out a great pair of Komperdell poles several years ago after about ten years of use). But these are the first folding poles I have had and I cannot figure out how to adjust the length and how to keep the sections firmly together. There are really no clear instructions with them. I want to love them but if I cannot figure them out, I'll have to send them back! I really need them for an upcoming international trip.”

“Please, tell me the minimum extended length of these pair? And if i am 5'3" in. and my husband is 6'0" in. the current poles would be ok?”
