used for hiking and poles have never slipped/ collapsed even on steep downhill and I lean on them hard because of bad knee

using for tele skiing using optional ski baskets and its great to adjust length and see how that impacts body position and comfort - good to learn what is best pole length

  • “relative to my earlier question, shock absorbing either?”
Asked by pretty lady from toronto on 4/29/2014 7:05:22 PM
    • No shock absorbing. Very adjustable. Secure locking mechanism. Easy to use.

    • Hi pretty lady,

These hiking poles do not have any shock absorber. I have used them countless times on some of the very rocky trails in Yosemite and I have not found this to be a problem, but then I am a guy who is not used to shock absorbing poles. For the price, I find them to be very good.

  • “is the trekking pole has shock proof (proof absorbing)?”
Asked by pretty lady from toronto on 4/29/2014 7:04:09 PM
    • No shock absorbance so there is some vibration when planting the pole.

  • “Do these come apart in pieces? If so, what is the length of the longest piece? I want to be able to put these in a carryon size bag, so the longest piece needs to be 24" or smaller. Thanks!”
Asked by Larjo from Illinois on 2/6/2014 4:25:54 PM
    • This item can come apart but we strongly recommend that you do not take it apart.
