Camino de Santiago - Would never have made it without these poles!

I walked the Camino de Santiago, Camino Frances. These poles were excellent at helping take the strain off my knee when walking downhills and for better balance when there was loose gravel on the walk way. I used them every day all day long. Great to be able to use your arms for an extra boost when walking uphill. And critical for making my way down steep hills without killing my knees. The shock absorbing feature with these poles really works well to minimize the jarring of your arms with every step. I purchased and walked with two of these poles.

Make sure you know how to use trekking poles before your walk. There are videos on You Tube. You need to adjust the wrist strap to use them correctly. A pair of gloves will help your hands from becoming sore if you are using these day after day on a long walk. The plastic tips that come with these polls are not good. They don't grip but instead slide around. So purchase a set of rubber tips and throw the plastic ones away.
