Got these as a gift for my wife. Sierra did not initially list the women's size equivalent, so I looked up a chart online and ordered what I thought would work, Mistake. Contacted Sierra for a return, what a great company, sure, it cost me a few dollars to send them back, but I ordered the wrong size, so it was my problem. The return transaction went smoothly and the replacements showed up in just a few days. Boots fit great, Boa system is fantastic! I have Simms G4 Guide boots that cost a whole lot more and for the money, I'd get these if they have them in your size. What can you say Korkers & Sierra Trading Post . . . . Awesome!

The boa system on one of the boots started failing only after a couple uses. Shortly thereafter, the sole started becoming detached.

Only about a dozen uses and they're now useless.

    I will be returning these.

  • “Do these boots accept the screw in metal studs?”
Asked by Don from Daytona Beach on 2/24/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • No they do not.

    • There aren't any pre-drilled locations for studs, but I had good success installing studs from Orvis (their Posi-grip studs). I've only had one outing, but it doesn't look like the studs are going to fall out. The sole is plenty thick, although take care not to strip the material by overtightening (it's mostly foam and soft/sticky rubber, with only one hard plastic layer). I did have to pre-drill my holes (with a slightly undersize drill bit). There is that hard plastic layer that the studs won't want to get through, especially if the studs you choose aren't pointy/self-drilling. the orvis studs take a 1/4" driver. The included tool is mostly useless. A 1/4" nut driver will give you enough oomph to get them in there.

About Korkers

Believe it or not, the first Korkers boots were cobbled together in a small basement workshop more than 50 years ago using scrap rubber, nylon cord and carbide spikes. Shortly thereafter, the now-famous "River Cleats" were born, and this highly functional wading sole system soon became a favorite among local fishermen. Over the years, Korkers wading boots have grown to include amazing innovations like OmniTrax V2 interchangeable sole technology. In addition to trusted performance on the river, Korkers winter boots also provide the same outstanding traction on snowy and icy terrain. When you need maximum grip on the slickest surfaces, this is the footwear brand for you.
