Excellent on wet ice

After a few slips on the ice last winter, I was in the market for these boots. The carbide studded treads provide a good solid bite on ice.

Love these boots the ice trac sole is ideal for icy conditions . One of the safest and most comfortable boots I own for walking on ice and snow. But do not wear on finished floors the carbide sole will destroy it.
  • good quality, solidly built

can be slightly tough to break in. but I like the rigidity they offer. The feet do get warm even in Texas "winter". I dont think I can use them for spring hikes. So may not be a great choice if your area doesnt get truly cold.
The extra snow grips can be handy. Looks like a good idea.

  • I really like these boots!

They seem well-constructed, solid, and fit my slightly wide foot well. I wore them for a day right out of the box without any problems. The regular sole is pretty rugged, but I will surely put the studded sole to use. They are not light weight, but I think will be okay for short winter hikes.

About Korkers

Believe it or not, the first Korkers boots were cobbled together in a small basement workshop more than 50 years ago using scrap rubber, nylon cord and carbide spikes. Shortly thereafter, the now-famous "River Cleats" were born, and this highly functional wading sole system soon became a favorite among local fishermen. Over the years, Korkers wading boots have grown to include amazing innovations like OmniTrax V2 interchangeable sole technology. In addition to trusted performance on the river, Korkers winter boots also provide the same outstanding traction on snowy and icy terrain. When you need maximum grip on the slickest surfaces, this is the footwear brand for you.
