I got the boots yesterday and tried them on. Great fit and I can't wait to use them. These are size 14 and the first pair I ordered was a size 13 (my normal size). But as the ad said they did run small and I should have ordered 14's to start with. The return and replacement process was great. W... Read More

I've worn these three times since purchasing them and each time the boots performed poorly in the river with the regular outsole on. They were slippery on any rocks in the river. I switched to the studded outsoles in the middle of the second day and the performance was marginally better. I don't feel safe in these boots and feel I must buy another pair. My prior boots were Korkers and they performed better than these. I'm quite disappointed.

The first boots bought for the waders. They are comfortable and nimble. The size went well. The lacing system is cool too. Fast and convenient. So far, I like everything

Have worn these a few times now and love how easy they are to get on and off. The interchangeable soles are amazing as well, though they require a bit of elbow grease to replace. These boots are well worth the money, and definitely a better bang for your buck when compared to competitor boots like Simms.

    • Sierra Tracind Post has a fantastic return/exchange policy. So, yes you can exchange them. As a caution, I purchased a pair of the Korkers Whitehorse wading boots in the size i normally wear (13) and they seemed a bit small/tight. I exchanged them for a pair of 14's and they seem a wee bit large. But, a wee bit large is preferable to a wee bit small after a long day on the stream or a hike to get to the stream!

    • Bubba, Yes they are very stiff in exchanging the soles, This is because you do not want them to come off in the river. Rip away just make sure Rubber pull tabs on the back of the boot is disconnected. I thought the same thing but I am grateful they are so tight. By the way these boots are awesome!!!! Easy in and easy out of them!! You will love them. Luckily you don't have to change the soles very often.

    • Mine came off pretty easy. Unhooked the back strap and finessed the sole off from heel to toe. Getting sole back on was just the opposite. Slip toe in and snap in place.

    • I have had my Korkers for several months. I have not had a problem removing the felt soles when I needed to change. I suggest you move the soles (wiggle) from right to left after unhooking the rear of the sole. It is a little harder if you just pull straight back to remove them. Good luck.

    • On the back of the heal you unbutton the sole and peel the sole forward. Then pull back to get the front of the sole out of the toe. You can see this on the korker website.

    • I have these boots and I purchased 1 size larger that my street shoes. When it is VERY cold here in OHIO I wish I had 2 sizes bigger. Under normal conditions though my size 14 Korkers are perfect with my 7mm neoprene waders. A little snug just like I like them. But when I have 3 layers of socks and my neoprene they are a little tight. BTW. I love these boots it's so easy getting in and out of them.

    • Kurt, I normally wear a size 12 street shoe and a size 13 wading boot. For the Korkers Whitehorse, I found a size 13 wading boot to be too small and ended up exchanging them for a size 14.. If I were you, I would try a size 12 Korker Whitehorse wading boot. Sierra Trading Post has a great exchange/return policy if you need to exchange them.

About Korkers

Believe it or not, the first Korkers boots were cobbled together in a small basement workshop more than 50 years ago using scrap rubber, nylon cord and carbide spikes. Shortly thereafter, the now-famous "River Cleats" were born, and this highly functional wading sole system soon became a favorite among local fishermen. Over the years, Korkers wading boots have grown to include amazing innovations like OmniTrax V2 interchangeable sole technology. In addition to trusted performance on the river, Korkers winter boots also provide the same outstanding traction on snowy and icy terrain. When you need maximum grip on the slickest surfaces, this is the footwear brand for you.
