They're comfortable, weatherproof, and easy to walk in, while still looking stylish. Though I wear an 8 in virtually every other brand of shoe, I always buy 7.5 in la Canadienne (but wear thin socks).

Even though these are more a "winter" boot,I wore these in summer and they look and feel great. I take public transportation in the DC metro area and need footwear that: 1. looks great, 2. can stand up to all weather conditions and 3. most importantly do not hurt my feet and the boots do all of that. One small con is that they do feel a bit narrow in width when first putting them on, but because they are suede leather, they loosen up after wearing. Overall a great purchase!

On short me the long toes look way too big, also when long enough for the feet, they were a little loose around the ankle. They have room for a very high instep.
