I usually wear a women's 8.5 or 9 (38.5 or 39 EU) and I wear a 40.5 in these shoes. I think the listed sizing may correspond to FR not EU standards. The 40.5 fit snugly but are very comfortable. They look well constructed. I'm hoping they hold up.

I should of ordered the 9. Confusing. By the time I went back to re- order only available in stores. That is okay.

Such as the case this time. We had to choose something in our budget. Sierra is wonderful. The first selection arrived lightning fast, but did not meet our standards, and we had to return them. Our second selection was on its way before I could get the next ones in the mail.
The La Sportiva's met our visual standards, and fit all parts of the foot like a shoe should. It is designed and built with materials that last, and reinforced in places that wear and are vulnerable. The only test is time. They have to take our abuse for more than a year without any fails, and remain a good shoe for years after that. 9/2014 and counting.
So far, La Sportiva is on our short list. -

I had to send them back since I couldn't find a size that would fit me. The sizing is off even between La Sportiva models. For these here I needed a full size larger than my normal hiking shoe size, but then I bought a different model of La Sportiva hiking shoes that fit me just fine in my normal size . Go figure. If it weren't for the sizing issue, I would have kept them and given them five stars.
