Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ina from New York on Tuesday, December 5, 2017I bought these La Sportiva's for my summit hikes in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado. I was a bit nervous about buying shoes online, as the thought of having to break them in on 8 hour daily hikes for a few days seemed terrifying. The shoes run true to size (in U.S as advertised) and were extremely comfortable. I did not have to break them, my feet stayed warm and the traction was great! A little snow came into my shoes, but I was also hiking through 2 feet of snow at times, so would recommend gaiters if you plan to do so. Other than that- AWESOME SHOES!
Reviewed by Birthday Anna from Colorado on Tuesday, November 7, 2017I used these boots to hike Mt. Elbert. Twelve miles in snow and 55+ winds. My feet never got cold once and these boots performed well. The sole, especially the heel, is somewhat hard but is relieved by winter socks and a custom insole would probably help too. I have concern if the seams will hold over time, but as of now I'm impressed with the boot.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sasha from Oregon on Friday, March 24, 2017This is a great boot. I really wish it fit. It's roomy in the toe and through the base of the foot. I ran into problems with the height of the ankle support. It's almost an inch taller than their FC Eco 3.0 GTX. I have low calf muscles and the tops dug right into them when walking. This wasn't an issue of breaking them in, it's the placement of the back support. It seems like this would be a great boot for anyone that likes a roomy toe box, wants the cold weather protection AND has tall or slim legs.
