5.0 out of 5 stars. Great ShoesReviewed by FL Hiker from FL on Saturday, August 4, 2018I have worn these around FL to break them in for an upcoming trip to Iceland, they fit great and feel very stabilizing. They are warm, definitely excited to have them for the colder climate!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Most comfortable bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tinsley from Kentucky on Saturday, June 16, 2018The moment I put my foot into this boot, I knew it would be the most comfy hiking boot I will ever own. It cushions your foot, while providing tight support. They come up nice and high and tight around the ankle to stabilize and prevent rolling. The grip on the ground provides excellent traction. The seamless exterior provides total waterproof protection.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mermeg from Southern California on Saturday, May 19, 2018I ordered these online. Was able to locate a pair in a store before they arrive and was thankful I did. The part of the shoe with the brand name in it is sparkly shiny. Not my style but you can’t see that from the picture. I’m sure these would work well for somebody in a different application. I bought these because I work ground support with our helicopter supporting linemen and power line crews. Sportivas came highly recomended. But I only weigh 120 lbs and when I put these on they were incredibly stiff and killed my back in my first few steps. I was told they take a long time to break in. I immediately knew they weren’t for me. I tried on a pair of Asolos and went with those instead. Those will work better doing the back country/mountain terrain work we do, along with climbing in and out of the helicopter.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Mountaineering BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mountain Girl from Colorado on Wednesday, May 9, 2018I bought these for both ice climbing and mountaineering. I have not tried them out for either. They feel comfortable enough straight out of the box. I tried on both the Trango Cube and these. These run a bit wider in the toe box and seem to have more wiggle room on top. Even though I got both models in the same size, these were roomier and I would have to go up a half size in the Trango Cube. So if you are like me, wondering which model would fit better, the Alp Evo is wider than the Trango Cube. If you have a narrow foot, the Trango Cube will probably be a better choice. Note, I have a narrow heel and both models fit fine in the heel.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Water gets inReviewed by Anonymous from Europe on Sunday, February 25, 2018I used these boots for (longer) winter hikes through snow--about 5 times after I purchased them. After only two hikes I realized a bit of humidity got in (especially into one of the boots). They are hard to break in, I had blisters even after the 5th wearing. Also, the sole is quite slippery even on snow--much more so than I expected given the price of these boots. I do NOT recommend them at all. After I bought them I've heard other friends had issues with this model too, unfortunately it was too late.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Most comfortable mountaineering bootsReviewed by Silvia from Lake Oswego on Friday, June 2, 2017Got these through STP and I don't regret buying these boots. I recently made two summits: Mt. Hood (Oregon) and Mt. Saint Helens (Washington) and on both of these climbs the boots didn't disappoint. They are not the warmest (3 season), but with the two sock layers they were adequate. I also climbed in May so we will see how they perform in winter as far as warmth is concerned. They were super comfortable, I had no issues with them at all, no blisters, no discomfort. Highly recommend. Also, I am size 10 US (42 EUR) and they fit like a glove. I have normal width feet and I was at first concerned with the narrow toe box, but it is not an issue. If you have a super wide feet, these may not work, unless you upsize a little.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Patagonia or bustVerified Buyer Reviewed by Padme of Naboo from Washington on Monday, April 3, 2017Purchased these for my upcoming trip to Patagonia for 11 days. Fresh out of the box they are blue and shiny. Put them on, wear them around the house! Im a 8.5 sneaker US Women, purchased a 40. On the trail: first time out for a 1100 foot hike, wore with thick wool blended socks, they are tight around the heal, which loosens up and stretches out, good thing or I would have sent them back! Im very happy with this purchases! Very happy! Found my new replacement hiking boots! The old ones were military issue 25 years ago. These are water resistant, warm, kinda heavy not too bad. The lacing system for the top half need a redesign, but keepers!
