4.0 out of 5 stars. 2nd pair of SportivasVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from North Carolina on Monday, January 21, 2019I wanted good, light weight and waterproof trail shoes for a trip to Costa Rica. My feet are narrow so finding shoes so that is often a challenge. This is my second pair of Sportivas. I loved the first ones. So far, these are great too.

5.0 out of 5 stars. PERFECT right out of the boxVerified Buyer Reviewed by AKA from New York on Friday, June 29, 2018These have blown me a way on build quality, style and comfort straight out of the box. Just tested them out on a creek walk and a hike. I was amazed how grippy the soles performed in any condition, and how comfortable they have been - zero time needed to break these in. Gortex is amazing, stayed completely dry despite putting these shoes to unreasonable tests. As per previous reviewers, they DO run a bit large. I consider my foot to be of normal width. I usually like to size up on hiking shoes, but I had to return the initial pair bc they were definitely too big. I landed w a 37. Started with the 37.5. Toe box is nice and roomy. Great shoe!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Possibly my favorite shoes... everReviewed by Figs from Colorado on Thursday, June 28, 2018I used to be a big Keen fan. I had probably 4-5 pairs of Keens. Then something changed with the quality. They didn't last. I only tried La Sportiva because they were listed online with great reviews. I was skeptical. I am not a big fan of the logo/name emblazoned across both sides of the shoes. But.. they are waterproof, and oh so comfortable right out of the box. And the laces work well, and the vibram soles are very grippy. I LOVE THESE SHOES. I also have Salomon shoes but these are my favorites. I wear them almost every day. GREAT arch support/foot support. The only thing I dislike is that after walking through pea gravel, sometimes a piece or two may get caught in the treads (easy to remove though).

5.0 out of 5 stars. Run bigVerified Buyer Reviewed by ~J from TN on Monday, May 14, 2018These are really nice shoes, but we sent them back because they run bigger than expected. I probably should have read the comments to see that they run at least 1/2 size large. However, they ended up running a whole size big. I actually wear a 10 in a running shoe, and a 9-9.5 in a street shoe. I ordered these in a size 9, and they were still a half size too big. Would order again, but ended up going with a different brand.

5.0 out of 5 stars. I love these shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Yosemite girl from California on Monday, May 14, 2018These are so comfortable and have fantastic support. I ordered a size 9 but they felt a tiny short so I exchanged them for a 9.5 and they have plenty of room. These are so well made and you can wear them all day and your feet will feel great.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable, waterproof, and styish!Reviewed by Mary the hiker from Utah on Saturday, April 14, 2018These are great hiking shoes! I am tempted to order a 2nd pair because I can tell they will be perfect for many outings. I found that these shoes fit true to size, unlike a few reviewers who said they run large. I normally wear a size 39/size 8. I ordered both size 38 and size 39, and the latter fits great (and the 38 was way too tight). Wore them in snowy, wet conditions for their first outing ... my feet stayed dry after trudging in snow for 2 hours. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great ShoeReviewed by Outdoorgirl from Northern California on Tuesday, April 10, 2018I hike 50-90 miles at a time, and I have tried many different hiking shoes in my search for the perfect shoe. While not the mythical perfect shoe, this is a very good shoe. The sole is very grippy - even in wet slippery conditions, which gives peace of mind. The shoe is breathable, yet waterproof (unless you decide to wade across a river in them). The shoe has the necessary stiffness for rocky terrain, backpacking, and uphill/downhill hiking.
A note about sizing: My street shoe size is 6.5. I usually order a 7 in hiking or running shoes. Based on the reviews here, I ordered my street shoe size of 6.5 (EU 37.5) because so many people said it ran big. It does not run big. It runs exactly true to street shoe size. I put the shoes on and my toes were right at the end. If I never intended on hiking in these, that would be no problem. Miles of downhill hiking would be a major problem. Also, one reviewer said that the toe box was big. No. The width across the ball of the foot is wide enough, but the toe box is NOT wide. It tapers. I usually tape my feet for long hikes, but I would have to tape my toes too in this shoe to prevent rubbing and blisters.
Also, the insole that comes with the shoe is very thin, and I would definitely replace with sole insoles or superfeet insoles. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Love everything about these shoes!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jayme Leigh from Nevada on Saturday, March 24, 2018Super comfortable, awesome grip, perfect for going from the trail to pavement! They are a narrow shoe but that was perfect for me, fits my foot like a glove!
