The calf measurements on cowgirl boots has frightened me off, so thought I’d try a pair of men’s. Normally wear a woman’s size 10, so tried an 8 1/2 in these, in a D width, which is medium in men’s sizes. Figured I could use an added insole with arch support if these are too big. Right now, they seen to fit perfectly, are somewhat loose around the calf, and are very attractive for the money. The inner part of boot feels scratchy, but will wear socks with them anyway. Will add insole if they stretch. Will come back and give 5 stars if break in well. Can’t guarantee that me experience would work for anyone else, but AM VERY PLEASED. Once again, Sierra Trading Post has provided me with a very good bargain. THANKS!
