Good gloves for people who don't like good gloves

The photo conjures up the impression of dainty Nantucket fisherwomen repairing their nets with light yet sturdy woolen gloves on their hands with the fingers cut out to improve dexterity. These are not those gloves. They are not made of warm sturdy wool. They are made of tissue paper. You can see right through the weave. If you blew cold air on your hands while wearing these gloves, you would want to put on a differnent pair of gloves. If I tried to tie a fishhook (or pick up a shopping bag) with these gloves on, I would have a pair of ruined gloves. I don't know who these are made for. But the price was so low, there's no point in returning them.
