Excellent field boot, one of the best made.

Le Chameau rates this boot to 32F and I'd say that's about right with a heavy sock, which is what they're designed for and as such, are about 1/2 size larger than the nominal sizing. I wear an 11 and planned to use them with heavy socks - they fit perfectly, but with a thin sock, there's a little play. If you wear a half size, you should go down a half rather than up. The brown color is dark like chocolate; the soles are flexible yet strong and rated for field and hunting. This boot is exceptionally well made by an old-line French boot maker with facilities in Morroco and they're handcrafted by a botier who has had lengthy training. The Filson tin cloth is a very attractive accentuation. As a conversation point, the British royals wear these and prefer them over wellies for field sports. The Filson collaboration was to my knowledge a limited edition arrangement and these are no longer available anywhere other than STP. There is a Filson as well as Le Chameau label. For more information, both Filson and Le Chameau have active websites and are worth exploring.
