Speedlocks will slip when pressure is applied. When adjusting on the fly you usually twist the stick and this seems to loosen the locks, and they will collapse. I have to use a pocket tool to tighten the screws of the clamp so they stayed clamped, thus the speed adjustment is useless. Once tightened the the clamp was strong. I did Longs Peak with allot of rock scrambles, with some being class 4, and some steep steps where you really need strength of the stick. Without my adjustments they would have put my life at risk. Somebody told me to take them apart and sandpaper the epanders, but I didn't pay to make my own modifications, and it's just too expensive to send back. DONT BUY. I read others had same problem.
