Worth the money

While you can get away with a less expensive pair for day hikes, if you are a serious hiker or just find it harder to clamber up mountains than you did, these really help. They are everything promised with regards to weight and shock absorption. Comfortable hand grips add to the allure. I also liked the fact they are still made in Europe. The engineering shows. They are probably improving trekking poles all the time but for the price, these are really good value and will last years. Use strictly for hiking. I don't believe the cups can be changed for snowshoeing.
