Good size for eating, bulky to pack

This Spork is a great size during use, even with gloves on. However, it is large enough, and stiff enough that it doesn't easily fit inside my pot with all my other cookware, since it is difficult to bend. It can be bent, but I'm not sure how far it will go before snapping. If it had a flexible silicone center or came apart into 2 pieces it would be more useful for backpacking. Adding a silicone edge to one side of the spoon would create a great spatula, too.
I look forward to Spork rev. 2.0.
