Squared front hem line frames crotch area - thumbs down

Although I wasn't so sure about the front hem, I bought this top anyway thanks to my evil twin ("How cute is that neckline!"). But after trying it on over a pair of jeans, I instantly saw why that square hem line was a bad call. It focuses attention on the zipper/crotch area.

A square NECK line beautifully frames your skin, face and neckline. No similar effect here: this square HEM line frames your crotch. Not a look I favor and since I bought the aqua color to wear over white (zippered) capris, back it goes. Medium is true to size.

If you're wearing black/dark color below the top (as pictured) or a skirt, it could be doable.
