Loon NippersVerified Buyer Reviewed by Trout Bigot from Connecicut on Thursday, March 22, 2018I am always looking for nippers. I am fundamentally cheap. I keep hoping for the big gar next to the chase register with nippers for $1.00. A while back as I was checking out while buying reel at Sierra Trading Post. They popped up an eight dollar pair of nippers marked down to four dollars. Four dollars is a lot more than one dollar but what the heck, I just bought an expensive reel might as well blow four bucks on a silly pair of nippers. Bought them. Used them this January. Just bought 12 more a couple of weeks ago. I am seventy eight, hopefully that is a life time supply because I don’t think I will get as good a deal as that again.

Loon Outdoors Steel NippersVerified Buyer Reviewed by redeyehawk from New Hampshire on Wednesday, January 28, 2015Neat little tool for the fly or spin fisherman/woman...at a price about a third of other sources...it's a steal. Non-slip grip.
fine productVerified Buyer Reviewed by westerner from NE Oregon on Friday, January 2, 2015Small and sharp. The foam coating is a good feature. Not certain yet about how long these nippers stay sharp...hence the 4 star rating.

they do the jobVerified Buyer Reviewed by Njswing from NJ on Tuesday, December 2, 2014Like the soft grip. Time will tell if they hold a sharp edge or get dull quickly. Appear to be well made so I am betting they will hold up over time.
Comfy, as describedReviewed by DudeCat from MA on Tuesday, November 18, 2014Bought one Loon comfy grip nipper to try it out, and will be replacing the other half dozen nippers (all of which include the the knot tool). Night and day, in terms of comfort.
Additionally, I now use the allbright knot, and have no use for the knot tool, after experiencing an incident where the nail knot bit down and stripped away the fly line coating from the core, and separated the leader from the fly line.
These Loon nippers are comfortable, and sharp, and the chain attachment makes it easy to attach to foreceps, Can never have enough nippers/foreceps of various sizes at both the fly tying bench and on the water.
The needle has been a valuable tool picking at knots that sometimes form on running lines with a shooting head setup.
Works WellVerified Buyer Reviewed by Flyguy48 from Colorado on Friday, October 10, 2014Good and sharp and I like the padded grip on these nippers.
