Verified Buyer Reviewed by jp96 from KC on Thursday, December 29, 2016Most LOON products that I've purchased have been nice...haven't had a chance to use these but they look nice...need to get out on the river and see how they perform...I expect them to be all that I anticipated. Thanks STP!!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by NC boater from NC on Monday, December 19, 2016We got this pair as well as a pair of scissors for stocking stuffers for our charter captain. He seemed pleased. He seems to drop scissors and forceps often when removing hooks so I am hopeful the coating will help him keep a firm grip.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gumby from NoCo on Tuesday, December 6, 2016One of those tools you should always have with you on the water. The size is nice for stream and river fishing as they are as not long and pointy as reg hemostats. Grippies are good when cold or wet. Pliers lock tight and are smooth at the nose excellent for barb squeezing. Precise and stout as to be expected.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Asarkozy from Colorado on Friday, October 28, 2016I bought these to help with tying flies onto tippets and knots, they have been great. These are easier to use than hemostats and some of the other tools I have for knots and with flat winter light I needed some help. These make attaching split shot simple and secure.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by KeokukTed from Colorado on Saturday, September 24, 2016These are well-made and pretty heavy duty forceps. Some forceps tend to bend when you use them to mash the barb on a hook. Not these! The hinge is precisely made and works well. The locking mechanism works easily with one hand. These do have very long nose jaws, unlike the photo. The photo shows the jaws only being about 3/4 inch long, whereas the forceps I received have jaws about 1.25 inches long. The tip half of the jaws are flat and the part closest to the hinge is serrated.
