Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Shoe Horse from Montana on Wednesday, February 8, 2017These boots are very warm, rugged, and comfortable. They will probably be my "go-to" footwear when I will be walking a lot, especially snow or rugged terrain.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Carrie from Ohio on Wednesday, January 11, 2017I've only worn these once out in the snow to hike, but so far I really like them. Comfortable and they don't seem to hit any sore spots on my feet (ankle bone area where I usually have problems). Got a bit bigger size than I normally do just because I'll have chunky socks when I wear these and they fit well. I like the grip on the bottom and I was more comfortable going up and down slick hills when walking. I also like that I didn't have to treat these before wearing. Right out of the box waterproof.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by skiergirl from cleveland on Friday, January 29, 2016I'm using these mostly for snowshoeing...replacing an older pair of Lowa's which were similar. Comfy right out of the box. Haven't worn them in sub-zero temps yet...but plenty warm so far. My foot is on the narrower side and this brand fits me well. Other true hikers often are too wide on me.
Reviewed by Doughnut Jimmy from Sierra Foothills on Friday, January 8, 2016Great for intended use in snow and mud (though why designers produced any in white, is a bit beyond me). Sheds snow nicely.
My usual picky feet have gotten hyper picky after an ankle injury. These boots are totally comfortable in my size. When a shortage in availability forced me to try a size up, I couldn't wear them at all due to pain, even though the fit did not seem that bad. But I am grateful to have found more in my size.
Reviewed by 3dvizwiz from Boulder, CO on Monday, December 28, 2015I just got a pair of these in the Fort Collins retail store, as I was pleased to see that there were multiple sizes available there for me to try. I had been confused about the earlier reviews regarding sizing. I needn't to have been concerned - my usual size 9 foot fit just fine in the US 8.5 size (which is what works best for me in Lowa boots), which is the only thing off in the sizing. The Euro 40 which is shown on the box is absolutely correct in this case for me, as is the UK size 6.5 which is also on the box.
Personally, I'm just thrilled, as these fit my more narrow than not foot just perfectly with a reasonable (light-to-mid-weight) sock. I didn't notice any tendency for pronation with the included arch support, and I'm very sensitive to that as it makes my knees hurt.
If one is in doubt when ordering about the correct size, I would suggest contacting the STP customer service folks, as they would have that additional information handy. Additionally, this URL (https://www.lowaboots.com/about-lowa/size-chart) contains the international sizing information, which can be very helpful when hoping to find European sizes.

“Greg answered me that these boots are not specifically listed as hiking/climbing boots. But I've found em in the catalog women's hiking shoes?”
You can use them as hiking boots if you choose. We have them listed as snow boots, not hiking boots.
“Just wondering if they are outdoor hiking/climbing boots? Im concerning about it's function for anti-skid. ”
These are not specifically listed as hiking/climbing boots.
“Can you please give me the European size on the label for a 6.5 USA size and size 6 and 7.
The boots are non-insulated as per Specs, but described as winter-boots, can you clarify for me, what makes it a winter-boot?
I'm looking for warmer, waterproof boots for winter walking and light hiking. Thank you (:”
My size 7 say "EU 38" on the label.
Warm, dry and best boots on snow & Ice that I have ever owned!
They do have a fuzzy lining for warmth. They also have Lowa's winter, grippy sole. I cannot help you with sizing, but Lowa's website should have a size table.
Based on my experience (and reading https://www.lowaboots.com/about-lowa/size-chart/), it looks like a Lowa EU size 37 would be the best bet for a size 6 US, as I've found sizing down a half size US in Lowa works best... that also agrees with the EU sizing shown on both the box and website. The winter boot aspect has to do with both the sole as well as the part-wool ("Partelana") lining. These boots also have a woolen component to the footbed. They're sealed, and so quite waterproof.
The Lowa Nabucco Gore-Tex® Mid Snow Boots should have a relatively short break in time.
