These boots are made well with a lacing system that is quick and sure. This was the second pair of Lowa's I ordered. The first pair fits wonderfully. It is a different model or whatever the different kinds of boots are called. This pair was a tad too narrow for me, alas with feet like a troll. If ... Read More

Reviewed by Andrew from CO on Thursday, June 9, 2016I've had a great experience with these boots. I work as a forester in the mountains of Colorado and wear them every day for work. The support is great and they have excellent grip in all sorts of terrain. I have owned them for about a year and hope to get another few months out of them.
Reviewed by Max from Tennessee on Sunday, March 20, 2016I did a lot of research into a quality boot that would be lightweight while still offering ankle support. I landed on the Zephyr after all of that. I read countless reviews and finally pulled the trigger. So, imagine my surprise when I'm doing Mt. Cammerer in Tennessee and the side of the boot rips and comes apart, on MY FIRST HIKE! I am thoroughly unimpressed with Lowa after this, and will not be buying from them again. In addition, the included insoles are terrible, and the boots are VERY slippery. I was only at ~ 6000 feet in TN, can't imagine CO! Sending the boots back, and I would recommend avoiding them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Wang Yingnan from Beaverton on Saturday, March 19, 2016Usually I choose hiking boot in size 10,but I have bought lowa ever and I know it is half a size small than usual.
So I choose size 10.5 and it is snug,
Although the boot sole is not vibram, it is still slip resistant.
Reviewed by CDG from Upstate NY on Friday, March 11, 2016Ordered a 13 M in this boot and it was significantly smaller than my current 13 M hiking boots from Asolo. These appear to be a UK size 12 boot, but also list a US size 13 as the equivalent - not the case. I wear a standard 13D (Medium) in running shoes and virtually all other shoes/boots - these were tight. The boot itself looks to be well constructed so I have exchanged for the 14 M. Keeping my fingers crossed on the fit of the 14 as I like the overall design of the boot.

This pair was a tad too narrow for me, alas with feet like a troll. If your size is a D width I suspect the boots would fit you well. I gave the boots five stars because of the quality of the boot and my feet four stars because of the width.
