It's probably best to just say that it is a privilege to wear a pair of Lucchese boots. Old-time craftsmanship is just unmatched and unbeatable by modern machines and mass production.

These boots look very nice and are very well made--true to Lucchese brand. They are the perfect for wearing to the Cheyenne Days rodeo to go with any western wear look or for day-to-day wear.

Overall, these are beautiful boots! I've owned many cowboy boots through the years, normally sticking with Ariat, Tony Lama, Dan Post, and Justin. I knew Luccheses were really nice, and when I saw these guys on STP, I jumped at the chance to add a pair to my collection! I did do due diligence to make sure they would fit. I wear a 11.5D, pretty dependably, in all the other brands. They might vary slightly, but a 12 is too long and a W is too wide consistently through the brands. So the 11.5D works.

I read as many reviews as I could find about these and they all said these ran "true to size". I had heard Luccheses ran a little snug...so I was wary, but went with my normal size anyway. I received them, and sure enough, the 11.5Ds were quite snug. Not break-in-able snug, but close to cutting off circulation in my toes snug! The heel was fine...had enough play for me to break them in, and the arch was not as snug as I'd prefer...but those toes were a straight-up deal breaker (or toe breaker, as the case may be!) There was no way I was going to be able to break them in with as tight as they were.

I also noticed, when I took the boots off, a serious blemish in the arch of one of the boots. It looks like it might have gotten slightly damaged and then repaired while in the factory. I've attached a photo of it. The same spot on the other boot is flawless.

Because of the size, and this quality issue, these guys are sadly going back to STP. Bummer!

It's probably best to just say that it is a privilege to wear a pair of Lucchese boots. Old-time craftsmanship is just unmatched and unbeatable by modern machines and mass production.

The toe is squared, not rounded, but that is of no consequence. the leather is supple from the first touch and careful examination reveals the quality you haven't seen in generations. I personally prefer a smaller quill in ostrich leather, and this boot is made with just that section of the bird. Though these boots are perfect for dress-up or nights out, I am perfectly fine wearing them with jeans and a t-shirt.

These will require break-in. Any decent boot will, and this is part of the process and privilege of a classic hand-made boot. The heel in this style is perfect- a cross between a slightly tall roper and a cowboy or walking heel. The stacked leather makeup is a great bonus. Doubled up stitching on the sole is both tough and stylish.

Sizing is right where it ought to be. I wear a 10 in a street shoe, but in a boot, the fit ought be closer to a glove so I opted for the 9.5- Perfect. This is the only place to get a pair of Luccheses without dropping many hundreds more. I'll be watching for more styles to grab my eye.

My first pair of "good" boots, look good, fit good, I have received many compliments on them. Great price and always great service from STP. My only complaint, I got a coupon after purchases that would have made them even cheaper, but I am still happy with purchase
